Nov 20, 2019 · Version 6 is OK - I've been using SplashID for years and it's been great - but there's Version 7 out now which is a nightmare. It introduces Cloud syncing which doesn't work properly and if you try to revert to local WiFi syncing it demands £20.99 - yes $33 - for the privilege of doing what you used to be able to do for free.

In this world of stolen identities and compromised security information, I should be more concerned. Start DataVault for Mac version 4.4.15 or above. Select File > Import > SplashID. Go to folder in which you saved the SplashID vID file and select it. In DataVault, set field mappings as displayed in the screen shot below. Renaming the folder so that OS X would create a new one solved the problem temporarily, but it is occurring again today.
